Building World Class Infrastructure, Rooted in Bihar
Janarh Infrastructure (Jinfra) is an infrastructure advisory and development platform focused on delivering sustainable, efficient, and scalable infrastructure solutions in Bihar.
We bring together international engineering, finance, and investment experience with strong onground execution in Patna to address one of India’s most important development challenges: making small and midsized infrastructure projects viable, bankable, and impactful.
From villages to cities, from clean energy to waste and water systems, Jinfra works at the intersection of capital, engineering, and local execution.
Our belief: world class infrastructure should not be limited by geography.
From Bihar to the World — and Back
Jinfra was founded by Ashutosh Aman, an infrastructure investor and engineer originally from Patna, Bihar, after more than 25 years of global experience across engineering, project finance, private equity, and infrastructure investing.
After financing and investing in infrastructure projects across the United States, Europe, Africa, Middle East, and emerging markets, the journey has come full circle — to bring global best practices back to Bihar and help build longterm local capacity.
Janarh Infrastructure is named after the founder’s ancestral village, reflecting a commitment that starts at the grassroots and scales outward.
Founder’s Speech
I was born in Patna, Bihar a state often defined by what it lacks rather than what it can become.
In 1990, I left Bihar to study civil engineering at IIT Kanpur, eventually building a global career across infrastructure research, environmental engineering, project finance, infrastructure fund, and technology. I have had the privilege of financing and investing billions of dollars into infrastructure assets around the world and working with some of the most sophisticated institutions globally.
Yet one question stayed with me throughout this journey:
Why should opportunity always flow out of Bihar, when infrastructure itself exists to bring opportunity closer to people?
Janarh Infrastructure is my attempt to answer that question — practically, patiently, and with discipline.
We are starting small: villages, towns, decentralized systems, clean energy, waste, water, sanitation, and jobs. If we get the fundamentals right, these solutions can scale across Bihar.
This is a long-term effort. We are not building for headlines, but for outcomes.

CEO’s Letter
Janarh Infrastructure was founded with a clear and practical belief: that India’s next phase of development—particularly in states like Bihar—will be shaped by well-executed, locally grounded infrastructure across water, sanitation, waste management, waste-to-energy, clean energy, and other essential services.
I am based in Patna and have spent my career working at the intersection of infrastructure development, regulatory frameworks, and project execution. My experience spans renewable energy, power markets, and infrastructure advisory, complemented by an MBA focused on power, regulation, and project finance. This background enables Janarh Infrastructure to engage with projects holistically—from early concept and feasibility through to execution and operations.
Local presence is central to our model. Being on the ground allows us to originate projects early, work closely with communities and authorities, and maintain continuous oversight throughout development and implementation. This is particularly critical for infrastructure such as water, sanitation, waste processing, and decentralized energy systems, where success depends as much on execution discipline as on capital availability.
As Founder and CEO of Janarh Infrastructure, I am personally committed to building the firm as a long-term platform rather than a transaction-driven business. Our focus is on realistic project selection, conservative structuring, and steady execution—ensuring that infrastructure assets deliver lasting social, environmental, and economic value.
India’s infrastructure challenge is diverse and deeply local. Janarh Infrastructure is designed to operate at this intersection—bridging institutional capital, technical capability, and on-the-ground execution to deliver infrastructure that works.
We look forward to partnering with institutions, investors, and stakeholders who share a long-term perspective on building resilient infrastructure.

What We Do
Infrastructure Advisory
We provide endtoend advisory services for small and midsized infrastructure projects, including:
- Project concept development and feasibility analysis
- Technical, environmental, and regulatory assessment
- Financial structuring and investor readiness
- Transaction support and documentation
- Advisory for publicsector and PPPstyle projects
Our focus is on reducing transaction costs and complexity, which is critical for making smaller projects viable.
Sustainable Infrastructure Development
We support the development of infrastructure that delivers measurable environmental and social outcomes:
- Decentralized waste management and processing
- Water and wastewater treatment systems
- Renewable energy and hybrid solutions
- Energyefficient infrastructure for towns and villages
Janarh village will serve as a pilot location to demonstrate solutions that can be replicated across Bihar.
Clean Energy Advisory
Jinfra supports cleanenergy developers and international companies exploring investments in Bihar, including:
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Solar and hybrid renewable projects
- Light manufacturing linked to the energy transition
We assist with:
- Understanding statelevel incentives and subsidies
- Site selection and local partnerships
- Regulatory navigation and execution support
Talent & Employment Development
Building infrastructure capacity within Bihar is central to our mission.
We are developing a local team of engineers and professionals and actively seek to work with graduates from IIT Patna and other local & regional institutions who want to build meaningful careers close to home.
Impact
Janarh Village Pilot
Janarh village is envisioned as a living laboratory for decentralized infrastructure solutions:
- Local waste processing and wastetovalue systems
- Clean power through solar and energy storage
- Improved water and sanitation infrastructure
- Local employment for operations and maintenance
The goal is simple: design once, replicate many times.
Scaling Across Bihar
Successful pilot projects will be scaled through standardized project templates, lowercost financing structures, and training of local engineers and operators.
Impact is measured in jobs created, talent retained, and communities strengthened.
Investing & Manufacturing in Bihar
Why Bihar, Why Now
Bihar is at an inflection point:
- Supportive state policies, including capital subsidies and land availability
- Growing demand for power and infrastructure
- A large, young, and trainable workforce
- Strategic access to eastern and northern India
Jinfra supports international partners with market entry strategy, incentive navigation, and local execution.
